The aim is to ensure that 1 million citizens of Azerbaijan use digital ID by the end of 2026 and that 65% of the country's population has basic digital skills, the Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samir Mammadov said at the GSMA M360 Eurasia 2024 international conference held in Baku, Report informs.
Mammadov noted that the government of Azerbaijan attaches great importance to digitalization: "A development strategy related to digitalization has been prepared in the country. The strategy includes three pillars: digital government, society, and business. Our goal is to expand the scope of digitalization based on this strategy."
