5th Robot Olympiad underway in Baku

Baku has hosted the opening ceremony of the 5th Robot Olympiad, Report informs.

The opening ceremony was attended by Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Indira Hajiyeva, teams, parents of children participating in the competitions, as well as spectators.

At the beginning, a minute of silence was honored in memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for the freedom of the Motherland. Then the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was performed, after which the event was declared open.

Speaking at the opening of the event, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Indira Hajiyeva wished success to the participants: “There were 20 participants at the first Olympiad. Now the number of participating teams has increased 6 times and amounted to 124.”
