The therapist Tatyana Romashenko noted that you should not eat and rinse your mouth with an antiseptic solution before testing.
Galina Kozhevnikova, head of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the RUDN University, also stressed that other patient actions could lead to a false result of the COVID-19 test.
"For three hours, a person should not drink, smoke, or brush their teeth," the virologist warned.
Doctor of Biological Sciences, MSU Professor Alexey Aranovsky noted that the quality of sample preparation might affect the test results.
