Vaccine used in Azerbaijan is effective against British strain - OFFICIAL

The CoronoVAC vaccine produced by the Chinese company SinoVac, which is used against coronavirus infection in Azerbaijan, is also effective against new strains, the National Center for Hematology and Transfusion told Report.
501Y.V1 and B.1.1.7 (British version) were found in three samples analyzed by the Sars Cov-2 genome at the Center's Genetic Diagnostic Center.
Azerbaijan started the vaccination process on January 18. Vaccination is performed voluntarily and at state expense. To date, 468,826 people in the country have been vaccinated.
