Vladanka Andreeva, the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, proposed the creation of a working group for the implementation of the One Health concept in the country, Report informs.
In her statement to journalists, Andreeva said that Azerbaijan is interested in the implementation of integrated health care:
"Azerbaijan should take into account the implementation of the One Health approach in the preparation of its national action plan, as well as the legislative framework. One of the best examples would be the creation of an interagency task force. This may include the Ministries of Health, Agriculture and Environment and Natural Resources, other relevant agencies, as well as civil society institutions."
