UK ready to share its experience in healthcare with Azerbaijan, ambassador says

The UK is ready to share experience in healthcare with Azerbaijan, Ambassador James Sharp told a conference as he spoke on the cooperation of these countries in healthcare.

The UK is known for its healthcare and medical equipment, Sharp said, adding that the country's private health sector is ready to share its experience with Azerbaijan. He noted that his country supports Azerbaijan in developing healthcare.

Sharp noted that the UK and Azerbaijan are celebrating the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations this year.

Throughout these 30 years, the two countries have achieved a lot, the ambassador said. He noted that the UK and Azerbaijan are actively cooperating in energy. The diplomat added that the UK wants to become Azerbaijan's partner in health in the next five years.

He noted that the coronavirus pandemic that swept through the world in 2020 had become a real trial for the healthcare systems of all countries.
