TABIB on coronavirus: No shortage of doctors in Azerbaijan

"There is no shortage of doctors in the country," said Ramin Bayramli, Chairman of Board of the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB), Report informs.

According to him, the involvement of doctors studying abroad in the fight against coronavirus in Azerbaijan only aims to provide support.

Hande Harmanci, a representative of the World Health Organization in Azerbaijan, also noted that the arrival of health professionals studying in Turkey is not related to the lack of physicians in the country.

At the initiative of the World Health Organization, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance, TABIB, and the Health Ministry  REACT-C19 project launched to strengthen necessary skills related to the measures to fight COVID-19 in hospitals in Azerbaijan's regions.

Nineteen Azerbaijani doctors from Turkey have been involved in the project.
