TABIB: 256 family health centers established in Azerbaijan in three years

Over the past three years, 256 family health centers have been created in Azerbaijan, and the range of primary health care services has been expanded, Vugar Gurbanov, the executive director of the Association for the Management of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) told the Medinex - 2023 exhibition.

According to him, in recent years, good potential has been created to bring the medical services provided to the population to modern standards and strengthen the material and technical base of medical institutions.

Gurbanov emphasized that as a result of providing hospitals with modern medical equipment and personnel reforms, the number of inpatient surgical operations has increased by 60% over the past period. The average monthly number of inpatient surgical operations increased from 10,000 to 16,000. Over the past period, 79 medical specialists trained abroad were hired in 15 medical institutions under the jurisdiction of TABIB.
