Expert: Child addiction to digital media remains relevant problem

Phone and tablet addiction in children is a relevant problem, says Akbar Guliyev, an expert at the Ministry of Health, Report informs.

Guliyev said that the parents are the cause of these problems:

"Until the age of one, a child needs a parent. When children can open and close something on their own, they begin to ask questions. Parents and others give a mobile device to a child to silence him, and the child is silent. In such cases, children have problems with socialization and sleep. We ask and demand from parents to increase contact with children and not to silence their questions by giving them the phone."
