Over 1,000 twins born in Azerbaijan in 1H25

In the first half of 2025, district (city) registration departments of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Justice registered 45,616 newborns, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

Compared to the same period last year, this indicator per 1,000 people decreased from 9.6 to 9.0.

Among newborns, the proportion of boys was 53.3%, and the proportion of girls was 46.7%. Of the newborns, 1,510 were twins, and 63 were triplets.
