Official: Chickenpox cases are on rise in Azerbaijan

In the first five months of 2025, 17,595 cases of chickenpox were registered in Azerbaijan, the State Statistics Committee told Report.
The number of infections in January-May is 2,189 more than in the corresponding period of last year.
Of those infected with chickenpox in the five months, 9,190 were male and 8,405 were female. Among those infected with the disease, 15,602 people were under 17 years of age, while 1,993 were 18 years and older.
