Ministry of Health recommends third dose of vaccine 

“The two doses of vaccine against the coronavirus will not last a lifetime. Time by time, they will lose their effectiveness. Therefore, we recommend the third dose to strengthen the immunity memory,” Tayyar Eyvazov, said the chief infectious disease specialist of the Ministry of Health Tayyar Eyvazov, Report informs.

According to him, the immunity must be strengthened to protect against the new strains: “First of all, health workers should get this dose because they are always in contact with coronavirus patients. Secondly, it is recommended for the elderly and later for those with chronic diseases. Of course, this is not mandatory. No economic interest should be sought here. Taking the world experience into consideration, we considered expedient to inject the third dose to citizens.”

The specialist noted that the type of vaccine can be used for the third dose.
