With the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, one modern ultrasound machine and four infant incubators were donated to the Perinatal Center of the Ganja City United Hospital, Report informs.
The director of the Ganja City United Hospital, Ilkin Ismayilov, told Report that on March 6, the First Vice President of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and her daughters Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva visited the Ganja Perinatal Center.
"Medical institutions are always in the center of attention of the state. Mehriban Aliyeva's visit to the Perinatal Center of the Ganja City United Hospital on March 6 and the care provided are a vivid example of this," Ismayilov said.
The hospital director also noted that the Perinatal Center has four departments with 80 beds.
"There are 14 infant incubators in the neonatal department. Every year, 2,500 - 3,000 patients receive medical services in our hospital. About 30 percent of babies are born by cesarean section," Ismayilov said.
The Ganja Perinatal Center was opened in 2008.
