India names possible reason of unknown deadly disease

An unknown viral disease that claimed dozens of lives in India last week could have been caused by the mosquito-borne dengue fever, according to authorities in Uttar-Pradesh, which recorded the outbreak, Report informs, citing India TV.
"Reason of spike of such case is still under investigation, but the symptoms are of dengue. We have already alerted the state's health machinery," state's Aditional Chief Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad said.
The local authorities earlier reported 70 deaths from an unknown fever. There were 12 children among those dead.
