Health Ministry: Number of AIDS-related deaths in Azerbaijan halves

Azerbaijan has seen a twofold decline in the number of deaths from AIDS compared to the previous year, said Famil Mammadov, head of the Republican Center on the struggle against AIDS at the Ministry of Health.

Report quotes him as saying a decline was observed compared to 2018.

"This is also linked to the advantages of the antiretroviral therapy," Mammadov said.
