Health Ministry: Disease spread among children in Azerbaijan become epidemic

"Vomiting, fever and diarrhoea have been observed in children over the past month," said Akbar Guliyev, a paediatrician and expert at the Health Ministry of Azerbaijan, Report informs.

He said that children taken to the hospital are examined and, are prescribed appropriate treatment if rotavirus is found in them.

"Currently, these cases are epidemic and more common among 5-year-old children. Although the disease is also observed in older people, they are mild. Symptoms in children can last from a week to a month," he added.
