Baku. 7 December. REPORT.AZ/ Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan has warned the population about infectious animal diseases that may pass through other countries.

Report informs citing the agency that the World Health Organization (WHO) has identified the spread of highly pathogenic avian influenza among poultry in the Iranian province of Tehran.

In this regard, it was decided to temporarily limit the import of live poultry and poultry products from the Iranian province of Tehran.

At the same time, the Agency has appealed to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan for disinfection of vehicles crossing the Iranian territory or transit through the customs checkpoints to strengthen control measures.
