According to researchers, the new TriSb92 molecule protects against coronavirus infection for eight hours. Under an experiment carried out on mice, it is able to block a protein on the surface of a viral particle.
As they noted at the university, the molecule is effective against different strains of coronavirus. Scientists emphasized that it was created not as an analog of the existing vaccines, but to complement their effect.
Earlier, the World Health Organization predicted the end of the crisis in connection with the omicron strain in three months.
