FAO: Azerbaijan Food Safety Institute has most advanced laboratories

Azerbaijan Food Safety Institute’s laboratories are among the most advanced in the world, Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Qu Dongyu said during his visit to the laboratories of the Food Safety Institute of Azerbaijan, Report informs.

He noted that research in the laboratories of the institute is carried out at the most professional level: “I saw here the latest generation equipment, which is one to envy. In addition to instruments and equipment, expertise is carried out with high professionalism based on international methods.”

Qu Dongyu noted that the activities of these laboratories are of great importance for Azerbaijan: “The staff here is professional, competent, and there are all the necessary conditions and equipment. In addition, special codes and recommendations of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization are observed, which is also very important.”
