Envoy: About 1,000 Iranian citizens receive medical education in Azerbaijan

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan Seyed Abbas Mousavi, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Health.

Minister of Health Teymur Musayev noted that in recent years, relations between Azerbaijan and Iran have been expanding in the field of healthcare, as well as in other areas.

Teymur Musayev expressed satisfaction with the current state of relations between the two countries in the field of healthcare and stressed the importance of further development of cooperation.

In turn, Seyed Abbas Mousavi said that Iran attaches particular importance to the development of ties with Azerbaijan. The ambassador noted that currently about 1,000 Iranian citizens are receiving higher medical education at the Azerbaijan Medical University.

At the meeting, the parties stressed the importance of intensifying cooperation in the field of healthcare and medical science, as well as further cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry.
