Chief infectious disease specialist: People at risk should be vaccinated with 3rd dose

"Observations show that the immune system of people who are vaccinated with two doses weakens over time. The third dose is more important in people with weakened immune systems and chronic diseases," said Tayyar Eyvazov, chief infectious disease specialist of the Ministry of Health.
According to Report, he noted that the third dose is preferred as a means of protection for people at risk:
"In particular, healthcare workers are in frequent contact with infected patients. The booster dose is not mandatory and is recommended. It does not affect the duration of the vaccine."
The expert noted that any vaccine could be used for a booster dose: "All of the vaccines is thought to be effective."
