Azerbaijan - WHO cooperation discussed

Azerbaijani Health Minister Teymur Musayev met a delegation led by Dr. Hans Henri P. Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe, the Health Ministry told Report.

Health Minister Teymur Musayev stressed that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to cooperation with the World Health Organization.

According to him, Azerbaijan has been closely cooperating with this reputable healthcare organization since 1992, and this cooperation is developing year by year: "Over the past 30 years, important work has been done in the context of mutual cooperation, successful projects have been implemented at the national, regional and global levels. At the beginning of this cooperation, the healthcare system of our newly independent state faced certain difficulties. As a result of the special care and far-sighted policy of the country's leadership in the healthcare sector, these difficulties have been gradually eliminated. One of the reliable partners, who helped us in this work, has been the World Health Organization."
