Azerbaijan has started vaccinating 16-18-year-olds with mRNA Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in exceptional cases (those suffering from chronic diseases and studying abroad).
According to the Baku Health Center, three adolescents intending to study abroad have been vaccinated, and none of them has faced serious health problems.
Vaccination of adolescents aged 16-18 years will require the written request of one of the parents and the written consent of both parents, indicating the reason for vaccination. Vaccination of 16-18-year-olds will be centralized at the Baku Health Center. These individuals must queue online on the website https://randevu.its.gov.az/ through COVID-19 vaccine appointment electronic service.
