Azerbaijan's active COVID case count drops below 16,000

Azerbaijan has recorded 582 new coronavirus cases over the past day, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told Report.

Meanwhile, 1,370 people recovered from the infection, and 15 patients succumbed to the deadly pathogen.

Overall, the country has reported 609,397 cases of infection, 585,284 recoveries, and 8,182 deaths since the onset of the pandemic. At present, 15,931 people are receiving treatment.

Azerbaijan has conducted 5,739,928 COVID-19 tests over the past period, including 10,495 today.
