Azerbaijan records 284 cases of measles this year

284 people have been infected with measles in Azerbaijan this year, the Ministry of Health said in a statement, Report informs.

According to the information, since April 2023, cases of sporadic spread of the disease among the population have been recorded in connection with cases of measles imported from bordering countries.

“The infection is mainly observed among children. Only 12% of the confirmed cases (35 people) were among the elderly,” the statement reads.
