Azerbaijan imposes restrictions on poultry products from 52 countries

During the first nine months of 2021, the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan imposed restrictions on poultry products with epizootic risk from 52 countries at different times, following the World Organization for Animal Health guidelines, Chairman of the Agency Goshgar Tahmazli said at a press conference on the Agency's activities in the first nine months of 2021, Report informs.
According to Tahmazli, in March and April, serological monitoring against brucellosis was conducted among 30,869 head of cattle kept in 703 farms and households in 48 districts: "Blood samples were taken from 20,162 animals. According to laboratory results, brucellosis was detected in 379 animals, and necessary measures were taken under existing legislation."
