Azerbaijan confirms 65 new COVID-19 cases, vaccinates 480 people in one day

Azerbaijan recorded 65 new coronavirus cases over the past day, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told Report.

Meanwhile, 48 people recovered from the infection, and three patients died.

Overall, the country has reported 829,011 cases of infection, 818,638 recoveries, and 10,147 deaths. At present, 226 people are receiving treatment.

Over the past day, 1,558 tests were performed to identify new infections, and a total of 7,543,617 tests have been performed since the start of the pandemic.

At the same time, 480 people received their anti-coronavirus shots in Azerbaijan today.

The number of people who got their first jab was 188 today, while 58 people got their second dose of the vaccine. As many as 197 people got immunized with the third or further doses of a COVID vaccine. The number of those vaccinated with a booster dose after a positive result has reached 37.

To date, 13,951,923 coronavirus vaccine jabs have been administered to the population in Azerbaijan.
