No cases of coronavirus infection among animals have been registered in Azerbaijan, Galib Abdulaliyev, head of the Animal Health Department of the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan and Chief State Veterinary Inspector of the Republic, said in an interview with Report.
Abdulaliyev noted that the coronavirus was not sufficiently studied at the time the pandemic began.
“The Food Safety Agency is conducting studies on animals examined in veterinary clinics to determine whether pets are at risk of infection. These studies are ongoing, but no cases of coronavirus infection have been found yet,” the specialist added.
