The seventh race weekend of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix is starting in Baku today, Report informs.
F1 practice session will be followed by qualifying session in the afternoon.
F2 free practice is also scheduled for today’s morning, followed by qualifying session.
The central streets of the Azerbaijani capital, where the races will be held, are closed to traffic. Protective barriers have been installed along the race track, and security measures have been strengthened.
Spectators will be able to watch the races from the stands installed at the Azadlig and Azneft squares, at the Maiden Tower, the fortress gates and in other historical parts of the city.
The races will start from Azadlig Square and also finish there.
Formula 1 cars in Baku will make 51 laps along the track with 20 turns and a total length of more than six kilometers.
