Zurabishvili: Co-op among South Caucasus countries should be raised to new level

It is necessary to raise cooperation among the countries of the South Caucasus to a new level, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said at the IX Global Baku Forum, the Georgian bureau of Report informs.
She called the South Caucasus a strategic region that can achieve transformation and development only if the region becomes a space of peace and stability: “Our task is to return this region to its former significance.”
Zurabishvili noted that Georgia highly appreciates the participation of the European Union in the process of peace negotiations and confidence-building between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
