Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that talking about exact timing or specific parameters for developing a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia is counterproductive, Report informs.
Zakharova was talking at a regular briefing with journalists in Moscow.
“It has already been said: there is a solid legal basis for the implementation of everything that has been agreed upon, oral and written agreements have been recorded. Talking about exact deadlines or specific parameters for the development of a peace treaty is counterproductive,” she said.
According to Zakharova, the peace treaty should ensure a balance of interests between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as lay down a lasting and sustainable peace in the region.
“This can be done by implementing all the roadmaps that were recorded on paper,” she concluded.
