Vilayat Guliyev: Diplomats felt shame and reproach of defeat more than anyone else

“I am probably not wrong if I say that our diplomats saw the greatest benefit of the Karabakh Victory. We suffered the pain of the defeat more than anyone else,” Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vilayat Guliyev, told Report.

According to him, it was a real pain to see self-conceited Armenian diplomats during the occupation and to hear the praises of their patrons for their celebration: “We are proud that under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, our army put an end to this sad situation and freed our lands from the enemy. We showed the Armenian invaders what we were capable of on the battlefield. Our armed forces bravely implemented four known resolutions of the UN Security Council, which is the greatest success of Azerbaijan’s diplomacy.”

Guliyev also spoke about the main task facing Azerbaijani diplomacy: “Under the current conditions, the main task facing our diplomacy is to conclude the peace negotiations with Armenia based on the five principles proposed by Azerbaijan and to neutralize the forces that want to hinder peace.”
