Vike-Freiberga: Global Baku Forum became important platform for discussions

The global forum today wouldn’t be possible without the support of the Azerbaijani President, Vaira Vike-Freiberga, former President of Latvia, Co-chair of Nizami Ganjavi International Center, said at the opening of the 10th Global Baku Forum, Report informs.

She said that over the years this event has become a very important platform where global challenges are discussed.

She thanked Azerbaijan for holding such a forum.

If humanity joins forces in the fight against emerging challenges, then all actions will bear fruit, she said. While the world celebrated the International Women's Day yesterday, it's hard to believe that there are still countries in which girls are deprived of the right to receive education, she added.
