Within 10 years, the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (Turkic Council) has been operating in 14 areas of cooperation, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Gismat Gozalov told Report.
"Within 10 years, we have held nearly 60 meetings at the ministerial level, more than 150 meetings of working groups on the economy, culture, sports and other areas. Moreover, we have signed about 30 documents in various areas during this period," he said.
According to him, the Council's achievement was also Uzbekistan's accession to the organization, as well as the opening of a representative office in Hungary, which has an observer status in the Turkic Council.
The Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (Turkic Council) is an international platform, which is established to promote dialogue and cooperation of the Turkic world.
The establishment of a new organization was announced on 3 October 2009 at the summit in Nakhchivan (Azerbaijan) with principles reflected in the Istanbul Declaration of 16 September 2010.
At the first stage, the Turkic Council included Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
