US expert: AI is just a machine that performs tasks

Artificial intelligence is simply a machine that performs tasks, Brigham McCown, former president of Alyeska Pipeline Service Company and a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, said at the 1st Azerbaijan-United States Think Tank Forum in Baku, Report informs.

McCown emphasized that he does not share the position of full trust in AI in the context of modern technological development. "This raises the question: can artificial intelligence be trusted? I don't think any machine, or technology, can be fully trusted. The same applies to artificial intelligence," he added.
