US backs opening of communications in South Caucasus – Ambassador

"The United States is very interested in building regional ties in the South Caucasus. This applies to land, rail, and air transport. We support steps aimed at promoting economic development among all three regional countries," US ambassador to Azerbaijan Lee Litzenberger told reporters in Ganja, the western bureau of Report informs.
"The United States continues to negotiate with the parties to contribute to steps that support such development," the diplomat added.
