UNHCR thanks Azerbaijan

UNHCR thanked Azerbaijan for its respect for international law, the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Azerbaijan Guido Ambroso said at the event on the publication of a collection of decisions of the Committee for the International Protection of Refugees and the European Court of Human Rights on refugees, asylum seekers, and stateless persons.
Report quotes him as saying the situation is more complicated concerning refugees and asylum seekers.
Ambroso noted that 1,155 refugees and asylum seekers were assisted in obtaining documents, registration of birth and citizenship acts, and so on in 2019-2021.
