UN-Habitat chief thanks Azerbaijan for support

UN-Habitat is grateful to Azerbaijan for supporting the activities of this UN program, Executive Director of the United Nations Program on Human Settlements (UN-HABITAT) Maimunah Mohd Sharif said, according to Report’s correspondent sent to Poland to cover the World Urban Forum.

She expressed her gratitude to the Azerbaijani delegation for the meeting within the XI session of the World Urban Forum (WUF11).

“This forum is multifaceted, it involves representatives from national, regional and local governments.

At the meeting, we discussed how we can work together for the benefit of people in general, including in Azerbaijan. I would like to thank the country for its support,” she noted.

UN-Habitat and Azerbaijan are actively cooperating. Azerbaijan has recently made a voluntary financial contribution of $1.5 million to the organization.
