"Azerbaijan's inclusion in Ukraine's national security strategy is proof of strong and friendly relations between the two countries," said Lyudmila Marchenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
"The fact that Azerbaijan is among the five countries whose strategic partnership serves to strengthen regional security and protect the country's national interests speaks volumes. Azerbaijan and Ukraine have been strategic partners for many years, actively cooperating in several areas. The National Security and Defense Strategy was developed on the instructions of Ukrainian President Zelensky. It shows that this trend in the development of our cooperation will continue in the future," he noted.
Marchenko stressed that Ukraine's foreign policy is primarily aimed at ensuring independence and state sovereignty, restoring the territorial integrity of Ukraine: "In this regard, we have similarities with Azerbaijan. We have the same problems that need to be resolved, and we will continue to work together to solve unresolved conflicts in our countries and restore territorial integrity."
