UK envoy: IDPs must return to their homeland

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said some time ago at an OSCE meeting that peace and security will be priorities for Azerbaijan, UK Ambassador to Azerbaijan James Sharp said at the conference “The Role of Women in Post-Conflict Reconstruction,” Report informs.
The diplomat noted that the Azerbaijani government has big plans in connection with the restoration of the liberated territories.
IDPs must return to their lands. The country is now at the stage of restoration. In the process of reconstruction and reforms, one should not forget about the gender issue, he added.
The ambassador noted that Azerbaijan’s proposal to normalize relations with Armenia and sign a peace treaty is an important step on the part of Baku.
