Tatarstan President: There is great potential for developing cooperation with Azerbaijan - EXCLUSIVE

"Historically, our nations are very close. We continue the traditions of our ancestors," President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov told Russian bureau of Report on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2019).

"I often visit Azerbaijan, I see how the country is changing. I was recently at the Champions League final in Baku. A beautiful city, hospitable people, delicious food," Minnikhanov said.

According to the head of Tatarstan, very close, friendly ties have been established between the republics: "We communicate a lot, learn a lot from each other. I wish prosperity to Azerbaijan led by the President of the Republic. What he does for his country deserves respect. There is a huge potential for further cooperation and we will certainly further expand contacts," the politician said.
