State Border Service: Armenian saboteurs tried to violate state border in Zangilan, 2 of them were detained

An attempt by a sabotage group of the Armenian armed forces to violate the state border of the Republic of Azerbaijan was suppressed on May 26, on the section of the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border, passing through the territory of the Zangilan region.

Report informs, citing the State Border Service, that owing to the vigilance of the servicemen at the border-combat point, the actions of the sabotage group were detected in a timely manner and the necessary measures were taken, as a result of which two servicemen of the Armenian Armed Forces were detained.

Other members of the sabotage group fled, taking advantage of the difficult terrain.

An infiltration attempt taken by a group of Armenian saboteurs was prevented in the Zangilan direction of the state border.

Report informs citing Caliber.az that the enemy's sabotage-reconnaissance group was neutralized by the Azerbaijan Armed Forces.

According to preliminary data, two saboteurs were detained.
