The situation in Ukraine certainly causes great concern, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said in an interview with the Italian news agency Agenzia Nova, Report informs.
“Azerbaijan has good relations with both Russia and Ukraine, here we are talking about a comprehensive and high level of cooperation and partnership with two large countries. Azerbaijan called on the parties to dialogue to prevent further aggravation of the situation and stressed the need for direct negotiations between the parties," the minister said.
According to Bayramov, Azerbaijan in international relations is always guided by the norms and principles of international law.
"Azerbaijan was among the first countries to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. To date, we have provided humanitarian assistance to Kyiv in the amount of 15 million euros," the minister added.
