Shusha declared ECO's tourism capital in 2026

The Azerbaijani city of Shusha has been elected the tourism capital of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in 2026.
Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, that the decision was made following the 5th meeting of the ministers of tourism of the ECO countries in the city of Ardabil in Iran.
During the meeting, the participants discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of tourism and measures necessary to further strengthen relations in this area.
Based on the voting results, the city of Shusha was elected the tourism capital of the ECO in 2026.
The decision was also enshrined in the Ardabil Declaration that was adopted following the meeting.
