Russian transport minister: Heydar Aliyev gone down in history forever

The name of Heydar Aliyev is inscribed in golden letters in the annals of the construction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline. He went down in history forever, Russian Minister of Transport Vitaly Savelyev said at the opening of an exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and his contribution to the construction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline, Russian bureau of Report informs.

“This exhibition is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev. Veterans are present here today, in whose fate Heydar Aliyev played a key role. This is very important. All speakers described Heydar Aliyev as a highly professional person who did a lot for the development of transport in the USSR, including the Baikal-Amur Mainline,” said Savelyev.

He stressed that the task of the current transport ministers of Azerbaijan and Russia is to develop a joint infrastructure: “Our peoples are connected by deep history, our political relations are at a fairly serious level. The task of today’s transport ministers is to develop our transport infrastructure.”
