Russian President invites Azerbaijani counterpart to CIS Heads of State Council meeting

Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State, according to Report.

The Russian leader made the remark during a joint press briefing with President Ilham Aliyev.

"Russia and Azerbaijan closely coordinate their efforts at key multilateral venues, including the UN and the Commonwealth of Independent States. In October, we will be glad to see Ilham Heydarovich at a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State in Moscow, as well as at an outreach meeting that will be held as part of the BRICS Summit in Kazan in October of this year," he said.
