Russian FM rectifies Facebook post error on Turkmenchay Treaty

The Russian Foreign Ministry has rectified an error in its Facebook post on the 1828 Turkmenchay Treaty, Report informs that the expression "eastern Armenia" was removed from the post.

On February 22, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry issued a statement in which it expressed surprise and regret about a Facebook post of the Russian Foreign Ministry that distorted information about the Turkmenchay Treaty of 1828 on the very day of signing the Declaration on Allied Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation.

We consider it necessary to eliminate the misrepresentation and expect a corresponding correction of the indicated false information on the official Facebook page of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
