Russian envoy: Decision on whether to join EAEU - purely Azerbaijan’s choice

The decision on whether to join the EAEU is purely a choice and a sovereign right of Azerbaijan, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov said at a press conference, answering a question from journalists, Report informs.

At the same time, the integration of countries into the EAEU format has benefited them, he noted.

Thus, the year 2021 saw the economic growth of the EAEU member countries. The mutual trade between the EAEU countries grew by 30%, exports to foreign markets surged by 41%, and the countries’ GDP increased by more than 4%.
