Russia has offered Azerbaijan and Armenia to start a trilateral dialogue through parliamentarians, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said following the results of the trilateral meeting held on July 25, Report informs.

Lavrov expressed hope that the discussions held on July 25 will help to give a positive impetus to the negotiation process in other areas as well.

“The closest result at this stage is the achievement of an agreement in a trilateral working group headed by three deputy prime ministers who are engaged in agreeing on specific issues of unblocking transport communications in the region. In this context, prospects will also open up for the implementation of promising projects in the transport sector, which already have acquired not only a regional, but also a broader nature,” the Russian minister said.

Moscow expects the signing of a peace treaty to be the culmination of a large negotiation process between Baku and Yerevan.
