Baku. 20 July. REPORT.AZ/ The Palestinian UN envoy Riyad Mansour stressed importance of adopting the communiqué for permanent access to the Temple Mount (Haram al-Sharif) at the International Conference on the Question of Jerusalem in Baku.
Report informs, according to him, obstacles faced by believers must be eliminated.
"We want to get Israel's guarantees that such steps will not be repeated", he said and noted that the status quo should be protected.
R. Mansour expressed his hope that the communiqué will be supported by the conference participants and to be an appeal to the State of Israel.
The envoy added that Azerbaijan is a friend of both Palestine and Israel and the country can help bring the two sides closer through new ideas.
